Two years ago today the very first devotion was posted on this blog. A total of 214 devotions have now been posted. They have been viewed over 31,000 times. In fact, year two brought over 7,000 more page views than year one.
I am deeply grateful to those of you who give even a tiny bit of your valuable time to this site. Whether you read occasionally or subscribe, it’s an honor to write for you. I also appreciate those of you who take the time to write a response, “like” the posts on Facebook or retweet them on Twitter. You’d be surprised at the encouragement you can give with a little click of your mouse.
I’m asked all the time why I do this, considering that I write sermons every week and am always working on the next book. Sometimes, when I’m pounding out these posts at 1:00 a.m., I wonder the same thing. The best answer I’ve been able to come up with is that writers write. It’s what we do. And when we’re not writing, we’re thinking about what we’re going to write about the next chance we get to sit down at the computer.
Yes, I know…it sounds like a sickness. It very well may be.
Thank you again for your support and encouragement.
